Back during the JC days, this was once the topic to write about during general papers tutorial session. As usual, i fared badly when it comes to long essays which was a dread. My doctor’s handwriting certainly made things worse. One can only live his life once. No matter what, one shouldn’t have any regrets after leaving this world. Basing on the perfect scenario that you’ve lived a long life, been through and done everything that you possibly wished for. Now that you are old, fragile and just struggling to pass each day with difficulty due to health reasons, do you think that you are better off up in heaven?

According to the ads, the chef is from mandarin hotel’s chatterbox. Shouldn’t have bought the seafood tofu cos it’s simply too normal~ I quite like the chicky, pretty tender and when dipped in the wine cum soy sauce, deserves a rating of 4/5. Note that the rice makes you full easily (or perhaps it’s just me). The soup is bad… tasteless and oily. There’s something interesting about their chilli sauce (colour and texture). Reminds me of butter chicken

11 Oct 08, afternoon.
Ok i’ve only got 30 mins to write this post and it’s back to work again. This week hasn’t been favourable at all due to the occurence of some nerve-wrecking events. As at the time of this post, almost everything has already been settled but there’ll be more to ponder and decide in time to come. During this period of mental torture, i’ve been asking myself questions like why am i working so hard on a daily basis when i’m not benefitting anything out of it except to incur more stress and less sleep. Expenses are going uphill while revenues are dropping. Singapore will be going into a recession according to the articles in the papers and retrenchment should be the next big thing to be happening. This is just a start, or rather a pretty slow and kinda derailed start. In a bid to invest more time, any human being will definitely devest sleep and health. It’s an onset of a vicious cycle which has to end real soon.

My mobo cranked up today. Asus HWmonitor has been detecting 5V and 12V voltages over the max limit during bootup. Darn… things always happen when you least want them to. So many pending jobs yet i can’t use my own pc. What luck is this?!

I was writing this post when darn wordpress encountered an error with it’s javascript! $%$^$^## It was my 23rd birthday yesterday so my jc clique got together for dinner cum karaoke session. The ladies were soo late~!!! (abt 45 mins). Anyway it didn’t matter cos i took my time and wandered around Chinatown’s food street. Initially i thought of having porridge for dinner but it so happened that jill recommended this authentic korean restaurant along mosque st. Low in terms of seating capacity it may be but its popularity blew me off. Seems like there’s always ppl waiting for their turn to dine at the entrance of the shop at all times. She made the orders, basically the dishes her jap boss ordered the other time when they ate there. Pls dun ask me why i took a pic of the lettuce cos margaret was saying i might as well buy one from the supermarket and enjoy a photography session at home yea~ This restaurant is run by authentic koreans and why do i have to emphasize this? That’s cos i’ve been patronising those run by chinese nationals. It’s not that i’m biased but their skills are simply not up to mark and the food is of course not authentic at all. Those dishes with five stars ***** by the side are those that you ”die die” must try! Strange enough, though it’s not very spicy, our dear MR KANG was soo HOT from head to toe lolZz… So what’s the damage? $20 per pax for a group of four. Try Yogi to get a taste of authentic korean cuisine. You’ll not regret it
Barbequed Pork (utterly chewy stuff)
Chicken Bibimbae *****
Korean Rice Cake with Ramen (QQ) *****
Chicken something something? ***** (should have gotten plain rice to go with this man)
Potato Pancakes ***** (delicious~)
Korean Plum Juice ***** (simply refreshing and outta this world~)

Menu A Chinese A-La-Carte Dinner Buffet

This restaurant is hidden somewhere on the 4th floor so make sure you take the correct lift (i dunno which one either cos my colleagues and i walked 1 round lol~) which will bring you right to its doorstep else be prepared to walk 1 round of the 4th floor. First greeted by the recep and she asked if i’ve made any reservation. I said “no” and asked if there’s alot of ppl dining in. Oh well, she didn’t bother to answer me cos when i stepped in, it’s kinda empty in there. The only mistake we’ve made was to order most of the dishes in their largest size. Anyway we were too hungry back then to think properly~ The menu A buffet wasn’t fantastic at all so i’m not typing any further. I still prefer the morning dim sum buffet (read my previous entry). Damage was abt $32 or $33 nett per pax.

This stall resides in a pretty isolated coffeeshop near my work place. Frankly speaking, i doubt romanian food fits the taste bud of Singaporeans. But being something which is not tried and tested before, the 1st time is still acceptable for me. I tried the lamp chop (can’t remember the actual name, refer to pic on the left) and according to the lady, it’s the best-seller. It’s really something different, imagine smashed egg-plant on toast? Usually the gravy is black pepper sauce if you compare with the common western food but it’s a little whitish cum creamy for this dish. I probably like it only because it’s not salty and pretty much healthy IMO.
